About Us

Emma Joe's Tree Service is a professional tree service located in Story City, Iowa. Since 2014 we have provided safe, efficient and professional tree care to central Iowa.  Our crew works diligently year round to deliver the best quality service possible and we pride ourselves on having satisfied clients at the end of each day. From emergency removals to expert tree diagnostics and treatments plans. We cover all things, trees. 

Marshall Shoemaker, owner & operator, started working with trees during his 4 years in Alaska. First working with AmeriCorps doing trail work and then continuing on with a professional trail crew, doing trail clearing. After returning to Iowa he combined his experience with tree work and his passion for rock climbing and started his own business. Named after his daughter and grandfather, Emma Joe's has been growing ever since.

 Helping to keep healthy ecosystems is something that we strongly believe in and work closely with local nurseries to install native trees and plants whenever possible. Emma Joe's prides itself on having the best crew in the business and cultivating an environment of teamwork and efficiency. Licensed and Insured, we are also certified with the state of Iowa as an pesticide applicator.
